A cat is fine too

I don't really have much to post about, so here are some photos of the kitten one of my housemates just bought.

hurr

She seemed determined to look everywhere but the camera. Cats aren't known for their cooperative tendencies.

I finished Remember11 yesterday, and can't help but feel a little let down by the ending. I thought the VN was pretty good overall, and definitely had better pacing than Ever17 (as well as less chicken sandwiches), but it really felt like they got half way through writing the epilogue and thought "fuck it, let's just release". I went seeking some explanation from Google and got led to a TLwiki discussion page that made very little sense to me since I hadn't got the particular bad end and read all the relevant tips that are apparently vitally important to understanding everything. I'm not sure if I'll go back and try get 100% or if I'll just move on to something else, I'll give it a few days and see what I feel like then.

I've still got quite a backlog though, with Sekien no Inganock and Symphonic Rain being two I've been meaning to read for quite a while now. I'd love to read Umineko 8, but that'll still be a while.

I still haven't really decided what anime I'll be watching this season. I've got the first episodes for Hanasaku Iroha and Nichijou sitting on my hard drive but I've been neglecting them for House of all things. I watched the first episode of Steins;Gate but it's still too early for me to really tell what that's going to turn out like.

And just in case this post wasn't already fragmented enough, I just heard that there's a site hinting at an upcoming Persona 4 anime, with a countdown to midnight tomorrow night (April 11). I never actually finished Persona 4 since my PS2 emulator deleted my half-complete save file and I can't bring myself to start it again, so I'd be pretty interested in an anime adaption.

EDIT: it looks like (from what I can make out from some moonblogs linked to on /a/) the anime will be done by Shaft. Fuck yeah. I'm unashamedly somewhat of a Shaft fanboy, but I really think they'll be a good choice for this.

  2. Oh that's news. I've been meaning to look into playing Persona 4 but if there's an anime, I'll be right on it!

  3. Lol at derpy cat.

I've been following that site for a few hours now. Persona 4 anime sounds a bit strange since Japan loved 3 more. The game is definitely worth going through.

  4. My VN backlog is pretty big too. I can't even remember which Umineko I'm on anymore.

I thought Iroha was cute, but Nichijou was only okay for me. I'm still hoping Steins;Gate won't be as confusing as Chaos;Head. I also gave up on House during Season 7. House just wasn't acting like a cynical jackass enough for me.

  5. The cat looks a little disgusted in that last photo, haha.

I'm not even sure if I can call 'it' a backlog any more. It's so damn huge.

  6. Yay, more cute kitties!

No anime for me until I get a new computer. Perhaps the wait will make me more interested when I get back to watching.

I've pretty much given up on ever getting around to VNs or any digital media I just "acquired". If I don't have the energy to go into it immediately, I probably never will. Physical things that I actually pay for are really worth it in that respect - actually having books sitting on my shelf waiting to be read makes me get around to them. Perhaps a "digital shelf" on my desktop would help me do the same for VNs?

  8. A VN is quite a lot for a back log from my experience even though I finished only 2.

Enjoy your slide show animation and TLDR scripts with some lol deep random stuff.
    Just kidding~

  9. The last picture of the cat made me laugh

I haven't touched on any of the series for this season - I would do so, if it wasn't for all the assignment now staring right at my face. Ah well.

  10. I've never read Remember11 actually, despite wanting to. Ever17 was long, and I was only able to finish it as a NEET. Now that I'm actually taking classes and I'm more serious with my Japanese, I don't really have the time. Though I do have the unpatched version installed on this computer, so I may give it a peak sometime soon to see if I can understand it enough to enjoy reading through. But because this is the infinity series, there will probably be tons of in depth explanations about psuedoscience that'd probably get me extremely lost.

Sekien no Ignanock is another VN I have downloaded that I've yet to touch. It's not that I'm not interested, it's just...backloggin every day~

    >SHAFT doing persona
    YEWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
