Some upcoming Vocaloid music

There hasn't been a whole lot in the way of Vocaloid music that I've really been anticipating in the last couple of months, but there's some good stuff coming up soon that I'm quite eager to listen to.

EXIT TUNES PRESENTS GUMism is a compilation of 19 tracks from various artists, all of course featuring GUMI. I've already seen or heard a number of the tracks on NND, but if only for sorting purposes it'll be nice to have them all together on a CD. Besides, GUMI is just that damn awesome that she well and truly deserves a dedicated compilation CD. There's some pretty good Vocaloid producers on there, some of my preferred ones including monaca:factory, buzzG, ラマーズP and cosMo@暴走P.

I'm assuming that Memory by 164 is actually a Vocaloid album since his last one was, but the product description on various sites doesn't shed much light on the matter one way or the other. Either way, I've really liked some of 164's tracks (shiningray would have to be pretty high on my most-played list) even if some others haven't appealed to me as much.

Symphony will be interesting, considering that it's about half Miku and half non-Vocaloid singers - one of them being SOUND HOLIC's Nana Takahashi, which could be good. I haven't heard that much of BuzzG, having being introduced to him via VOCAROCK, but I like what I've heard.

Today Is A Beautiful Day won't be a Vocaloid album, but I still consider supercell/ryo to be a Vocaloid producer seeing as songs like Melt are still among the best-known Vocaloid songs, at least in the English-speaking world. Supercell are doing some of the music for Witch on the Holy Night too, and I believe a couple of those songs will be on this album.

And, since it seemed somewhat relevant, here's a picture I took of Luka + Takoluka.

I don't have any more figures coming in for a while, so I might just go through some of my collection and post some photos/reviews of my older figures. That wouldn't be too pointless would it? My other options are mundane posts about my day, so it's probably a 'lesser of two evils' situation.

  1. I'm really bad at keeping up with new Vocaloid releases. I'll be sure to check these out when they're released.

  4. All of the figures I've gone through are 100% irrelevant and old as fuck. It'll be fine.
